Optical coating
Description
Optical coating on the optical element is very important, which can improve the transmission, high reflection, alter the
absorbance or polarization properties. The components being coated are usually called the substrates. The coating layer is
deposited in high vacuum using the process of evaporation by either e-beam or Ion Assisted Deposition. Uni-Optics offers
all kinds of anti-reflective (AR coating), high reflective (HR Coating) partial reflective (PR Coating) and interference coating
according to customers requirement.

Coating definitions: Ro: Reflectance at central wavelength  Rs: Reflectance for S-plane polarization
Rp: Reflectance for P-plane polarization
R: Reflectance for random polarization
R=(Rs+Rp)/2

Tp:Transmittance for p-plane polarization
Ts: Transmittance for S-plane polarization
T: Transmittance for random polarization
T=(Ts+Tp)/2
